Description
At the remaining building on the rural Illinois property that is Ashmore Estates, there are many artifacts that spark creative ideas and this piece is one in a series of five such artworks inspired by my direct experiences in this historically haunted location. This old piano on the third floor ages beautifully with the passage of time and has seen many changes over the years of its service. In the light from the westernmost windows, it was the perfect subject for this 9″ by 12″ scratchboard work. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this item and the others within this series will go back to Ashmore Estates to help fund its continued preservation and upkeep.
