One of many sets of double doors in the old IOOF complex located on the grounds of the Belvoir Winery in Liberty, MO, this storied liminal space has the added liminality that comes with good works within a secret society. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is founded on the three principles of Friendship, Love and Truth and operates within four core tenets: Visit the sick, relieve the distressed, educate the orphan and bury the dead. Lodges welcome ALL for membership and community-building. “Threshold Crossing” is 8″x10″ on scratchboard and the doors stand open, inviting you to step into new relationships with your self and the world in which you live.
