“The Messenger” is the largest artwork in a series of five works depicting the local wildlife that make their home in Green Mount Cemetery, located in Montpelier, VT. This depiction of a chipping sparrow on one of the more intricately carved stone monuments is 8″ by 18″, rendered in graphite and colored pencil.
